I grew up in Bergen Cnty in view of the NY skyline. I’d like nothing more than to have the towers back. Maybe a little taller, a little modernized, but most of all as a symbol of our resolve against the animals who murdered our friends & families.
If we don’t rebuild the towers just the way they were, the terrorists have won forever. Of all the people who worked in those towers who died, I bet each and every one would be more proud if they were rebuilt as they were.
The Twin Towers have been a symbol of this country for so long. We need to put our symbol back just like it was. Show the radicals, you can hit us but you can not hurt us!
Born and raised in NYC, I vividly remember watching the Twin Towers get built while a student at the HS of Music & Art. I will always be a New Yorker wherever life takes me, and I meet many people who ask: “why are they doing something different, they should rebuild them using the same exact design, just stronger!”
I was born and raised in Brooklyn and watched those Towers being built. They were and forever should be a symbol of the strength and spirit of the American people, no one should be allowed to destroy that spirit. Build them back the way they were.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!
I was born and bred in B’klyn 71 years ago.I lived either in B’klyn or Queens most of those years.I in fact lived for many years in Middle Village and Maspeth where we were able to see the twin towers from our overpass. When they came down it changed our scene which we saw many times a day. What a loss. My brother is a fireman that went and fought the fire the first week from day one. He is now suffering from respitory problems. So our involvement has me wanting to see it again.
Grew up in Brooklyn and later Staten Island. Watched the towers being built. I don’t think that anything could be more fitting than to restore them to the skyline.
Born and raised in New York. The twin towers were as much a part of our lives as breathing air and to not restore them to their rightful place in the New York skyline would be a disservice to all New Yorkers past and present and would be to have allowed these monsters to come in and have forever altered a huge part of New York. We cannot give them that power.
The Twin Towers are a part of OUR country! The World Trade Center in New York City, New York MUST be built the way it was! DO WHAT THE MAJORITY OF THE COUNTRY WANTS! Never again will the sun rise in the midst of the towers that grace OUR city, if you continue with the MISTAKE that is FREEDOM TOWER! Freedom Tower is anything BUT a sign of freedom, It’s an ABOMINATION TO NEW YORK AND THE COUNTRY!
Since 9/11, something was missing, not just from the physical landscape of Manhatten but in all of our minds and hearts. To rebuild the World Trade Center would be a healing to all of those who remembered it as it once was, to truly make it feel right and balanced. It would be the greatest show of American tenacity, durability and resilience that would make a city, a people and a nation whole, complete once again. Sounding out the message: We shall not, we cannot, be broken.

Rebuild the twin towers taller and more powerful. Our politicians should be behind the rebuilding of these great buildings.

The towers must be rebuilt as they were only higher!
To quote a famous WWII general — “Nuts!”
Build them the way they were — stick it to the evil that brought them down!

Build them and fill the hole that is currently in our skyline.
